The secret to Zara’s success is quite simple and straight forward: they keep up very fast with street fashion by making new designs just in a week or two, while other fashion brands will take at least 6 months to enter the market. Right now, Zara has around 6,500 stores across 88 countries around the world with the largest market in the North America.

According to Inditex, Zara’s parent company, they are planning to expand the number of outlets throughout Asia and Vietnam in the following years. They also plan to bring other Inditex brands to Vietnam in the near future.

Inditex is a Spanish multinational clothing company and the biggest fashion group in the world. Although the company’s flagship brand is Zara, it also owns other famous brands such as Massimo Dutti, Bersha, Osyho, Pull and Bear, Stradivarius and Uterque.

Following the success of Zara, H&M outlets will be soon be opened in Vietnam. Although H&M is quite famous in Vietnam through unofficial trading channels, some people question whether the Swedish clothing store will be successful and Vietnam’s increasingly competitive fashion market. With the number of brands increasing to include H&M Clothing, Topshop, Warehouse and Zara, the question remains who will be the winners and who will be the losers in these fashion wars.
