The staff’s attitude was not kind n not willing to answer my questions when I have location problems. Downstairs had lots of noisy sounds made me cannot sleep at all!
I like the ambience to meet foreigners ..

Free beer on for 10 minutes so sad . It should be 20 minutes. Food is expensive too
They have a vegan option, fruit with no yogurt, and it is free! Morning duo of Tao and Gap (I”m not sure about the spelling, sorry) are so nice it is impossible not to start your day off on the right foot. The staff here are exceptionally friendly. They all recognized me, and most new me by name from my last stay.
More meal options for lunch and dinner, maybe?
The showers were amazing, the bedrooms were great, nice and private with the curtain. And the best was the included breakfast! Freshly cooked omelets/waffles and all so tasty! The vibe amongst the crew and guests were amazing, not a party hostel, but enough socializing and activities.

Clean, very nice cafe downstairs, lovely staff. Rooms are comfortable with a lot of privacy (for a hostel). Nice rooftop and lounge area
It is a small but tall building, so multiple floors, but there is an elevator.
The Spanish speaker at the front desk, Elsa was a great help to me. As the English tour guide, Jason gave a great tour. I had an awesome stay here and I will stay again.
The place is really awesome and to be honest this is the best hostel that I’ve ever been to. Host is really friendly and helpful. I would stay here again
Republik is a modern hostel and has absolutely everything you need: – Clean – Great dorm rooms – Cool common / eating and drinking area – Staff are so helpful and friendly – breakfast is absolutely amazing – Free beer from 6pm every hour! Overall great value for money and I couldn’t recommend this hostel enough if staying in Hanoi!

The staff at this property were amazing! So very kind and helpful. Tung’s Vietnamese class was fun and informative! Jason’s walking tour was an awesome way to learn about culture and more about Hanoi. My absolute favorite was the Vietnamese coffee workshop! The workshop was the highlight of my trip. 100% would recommend for all travelers. I had a healthy mix of being social and took some time alone when I needed it.
They cleaned the property often, but it was easy to get dirty cause some of the other guest would leave their stuff everyone.
Great place, very communal with loads of interactive games. Staff is fabulous and go out of their way to give you great tips on travelling Vietnam. Love happy hour. Great cocktails. Super pressure and hot water. Great location. Highly recommend it! We will be back
Very social, helpful staff, great breakfast
The small double room is at the end of the dorm beds which is kinda weird, and walls are thin.
The beds were comfortable and clean as were the bathrooms. The staff were wonderful – very welcoming and smiley. Met some great people at the cafe. It will seem like a party hostel but it’s more of a social one.
Not enough toilets. I was constantly having to go to the floors above to see if they had a toilet free. If your going to have a shower guys please go to the shower only cubicles so everyone else can still go to the toilet.
The staff Phuong is so nice and help me a lot. She‘s really kind and lovely. There are so many tourists from different countries and the atmosphere is nice. Thanks very much and i enjoy the journey.
Perfect location, right by the Old Quarter but not too loud that you couldn”t sleep at night. Breakfast was amazing, buffet style with lots of variety. Laundry service and walking tours were convenient.
Bathrooms were a bit crowded as the whole floor shared them, showers were a bit small but nothing out of the ordinary for a hostel. Had a person puke in one of the bathroom sinks one night…
The food was good and the staff.
It’s too noisy and totally not clean. The kind of people who staid when I was there were terrible!
The staff is super friendly and the breakfast is really good! I had a good time there and I really recommend the coffeeworkshop on Tuesday, it”s a nice experience 🙂
The staff (especially on the bar who also did breakfast) were the friendliest staff in whole Vietnam

Please get a different laundry service partner, my clothes smelled worse (moldy smell) than before washing, unfortunately I only noticed when we were back on the road.

The staff is amazing and so friendly! They helped me to get my visa extended within only two days. The breakfast was great, the rooms were clean. And though I stayed in a dorm with 16 beds, it wasn”t noisy at all. I already recommended this hostel to some other travellers I met and will be back maybe soon.
Only little things: One more additional hook in the shower and a curtain to cover your clothes from the water would be nice. The toilet seats need to be fixed.
Perfect location for old quarter and tour pickup. Really friendly and helpful reception and breakfast staff. Comfortable beds (stayed twice), clean rooms. In general, had a pleasant stay.
A bit old bathrooms and not always clean
First of all, I want to say that whoever does not consider staying here is a fool. The staff really go out of their way to make you feel at home. Not once did I feel awkward or uncomfortable asking the staff for anything. Also the breakfast is top notch! Wow! I mean, you get restaurant quality food. So amazing! The beds are wicked. I would definetly recommend doing the daily activities that the hostel organizes, it is….Amazing. In summary, please please stay here! Also important to note, it is not a party hostel. It is a nice mixture of socializing so no need to feel intimidated

room a little small but still nice could have been abit cleaner though (same applies for the hostel all round) wasn’t a fan of the fact there was no kitchen & a strict no outside food & drinks rule & also that you had to pay to refill water
Republik Backpacker Hostel is an awesome place to stay. You could stay for the breakfast alone which is really tasty with a variety of choices, but it’s the staff that really makes this place into something unique. They will make you feel welcome straight away. The double room we had was small but excellent value for money and the bed was comfortable. We’ll be back (like tonight, for real!)
Everything was wonderful, the staff are amazing they all funny and caring they listen and will help you with everything they can, they helped me find a jacket and organising a bus was so simple. I used Republik as my hub between all the other stops like Ninh Binh then up to Ha Giang I always stop for a day or two to recharge and then head off.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Delicious breakfast and all food they serve. Nice idea about teaching foreiners Vietnamese. Good walking tour. Thank you for free beer.

One of the best hostels I”ve ever stayed in. Breakfast is awesome. Staff really friendly. Tung who gave us a Vietnamese lesson is amazing.

Comfy beds. Fun staff. Great breakfast. Other food was good but pricey. Great hot showers. Walking tour is long but interesting. Not just a sightseeing tour. Multiple common areas. Rooftop, tv room, indoor mezzanine, lobby/bar. Good socializing but the rooms are quiet.
Excellent staff. Clean dorms albeit small. Beds were big enough with all amenities in the enclosement (charging port, phone holder etc). The food downstairs is also really good. Bathroom have constant running/hot water and cleaned frequently (at least it seems so).
Cramped for space in general. Otherwise, nothing to whine about really. The staff is just too good.
Best hostel i stayed At in vietnam really Good breakfast and nice vibe, rooms got cleaned every day. Would really recommend the walking Tour with Jason you learn allot about vietnamese traditions and make New contacts with other travelers. They also make really Good Pizza and Theres free Beer at Night
The hostel is so good that I chose there for three times! The staff are very nice and helpful, with special thank to Mai Phuong!
Everything about this place was awesome, from the breakfast to the staff to the ambience of the place! They offer the best breakfast for being a hostel! They have Vietnamese and Western choices! The morning walking tour with Jason was unique and interesting as he talked about different Vietnamese traditions and aspects of the culture! The staff in general gave great recommendations for local food (ask them about bun cha and pho!)! They were also so friendly and genuinely made an effort to remember each guest and get to know you (I only stayed for three nights but most of the staff remembered my name and bed number)! They also have daily activities that make it super easy to meet people and talk to other travelers! The Vietnamese lesson with Tùng was exceptionally helpful and fun! Their cooking class and coffee workshop was also interesting. And finally, when I was leaving and booked my bus to my next destination with them, they sent me off with a bag of snacks and the warmest farewell wishes!
There was nothing not to like! I had an amazing stay with the Republik and met some of the most interesting people here!

The beds were possibly the comfiest of any hostel we’ve stayed in on our travels so far- plus each bunk has a curtain, a fan and a light. The bathrooms were always clean and there was always hot water in both the showers and taps. The breakfasts were delicious and filling and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly! The free walking tour they offer is defiantly worth doing- the guide Jason is very knowledgeable about Hanoi and gives you a great insight into Vietnamese life. A group of us also did a little Vietnamese lesson with Tùng which was a lot of fun and and he taught us some pretty useful phrases 🙂

Just a really easy hostel to stay at. They serve a great breakfast and I also had a really good pizza there one of the evenings. The beds are comfortable the bathrooms are regularly cleaned. It’s generally a well oiled machine. Also really good value for money and a good place to meet people.
I was in a 16 person room so the chances of a snorer were much higher and I’m a light sleeper. People coming in and talking loud too but you can’t blame the hostel for that. Luck of the draw. I’d probably stay in a smaller room next time.

Breakfast was good, I highly recommend the local option. Staff was very friendly and helpful, always willing to help.
Showers were cold Other than that it was all as advertised
