Dont trust review…double price of beer vs at local eatery, beach wasn't cleaned up at all.. trashed actually

I am a little put off by this place… in general the welcome was fine and the staff was pretty nice. I am travelling south from Hanoi and figured this would be a good spot with the reviews to take a couple day break. I booked one night and even figured i would stay two but i cant support this and i never leave bad reviews. First – there isn't even soap included by the sink to wash with after using the bathroom. This place is just as expensive as where i stayed 20 minutes away that included breakfast, shampoo, conditioner etc. The least they could do is provide hand washing soap… so everyone goes to the bathroom and has no soap to use in the dorm unless carrying their own.. how unsanitary as potentially 10 people use the bathroom and dont even have soap to use before they open the door and leave.. Secondly – as you will see in the picture the beach was absolutely trashed.. more so than even 50m north towards town.. Maybe the staff saw me taking a picture because as i left to explore the village they were cleaning the beach.. (guessing they stopped as i walked away because it was still the same disaster when i returned an hour later) Third – After already having two local Qui Nhon beers here and (my bad) just assuming they were 10k as a previous review had said on Agoda I was told they were 15k each!!! I had dinner at a local place down the beach to eat and the same beer was only 8k each!! After confronting the staff and offering to pay 10k each, still a 25% markup from the eatery they said oh they used to be 10k but now are 15k… what a ripoff. I expect to pay a little more, but practically double… what a joke. This is when i decided to leave a review after going back to the restaurant I ate at and bringing 3 Qui Nhon bottles back, WITH ICE, for 24k.. 6k less than it would have been for just 2 beers alone here like 200m away.. Not a complaint but the mattresses are hard as a rock nearly so don't come expecting anything else… for being supposedly quite new it is obvious they cut corners here to save money considering most travelers like a comfy place to sleep. The best part about staying here was seeing the local village, all the super friendly kids, enjoying the sound of the ocean and the only thing about the acrual hostel that was really nice was the above the beach, sandy “common” area. …
