Nén Restaurant – Vietnamese Fine Dining In Danang

Nén is a hybrid between garlic and shallot and is an obscure spice only known about in the countryside surrounding Danang. It is a representation of where we come from and our Vietnamese lineage. Nén Restaurant is a playground for us to showcase our creativity, technicality and our love for Vietnamese cuisine through contemporary culinary arts.

It is also a stage where we share with you stories about this land, its nature, its warm-hearted and welcoming people, as well as the culture that we were born into and fell in love with. By practicing our craft at Nén, we aim to bring you conscious Vietnamese cuisine that promotes kind thoughts and feelings.

ABOUT OUR CHEF

Born and raised in Da Nang and now a mother of two, Summer Le has always had a genuine love for food and is often regarded as the “unofficial ambassador” for Central Vietnamese cuisine due to her past culinary adventures.

Possessing a monumental passion for Vietnamese cuisine and a belief of identity expression through food, Nén is where Summer hopes to do her part as a chef, and above all, a story teller, initiating an exchange of thoughts and empathy.

Our goal is to produce as much ingredients by ourselves as possible. Most of the herbs, fruits and flowers that we use to cook with are home-grown in our ground and rooftop gardens.

We are also proud of our self-made range of ingredients such as fish sauce, pickles, chili sauce, liquors, etc. to ensure the best quality control and customisation.

Nén restaurant is an amazing gem in the city of Danang. Chef Summer Le and her team create wonders in this thoughtful yet clever Vietnamese degustation Menu.She sources all her ingredients locally, and from her farm.The ingredient shines on the plate and quite a delight to see a chef that is not afraid to elevate the Vietnamese cuisine to a unique dining experience. A must-go if you are in Danang.
The food was out of this world. The flavors were incredible. Every dish was more surprising than the last. I can’t recommend this place enough. Just go!
Nen is on track to really making its mark on Vietnamese cuisine. We're blessed to have been able to come here in its early days.
The location is beautiful and quiet. We chose the New Vietnamese menu because it had the most innovative dishes. Everything is made with local/Vietnamese ingredients so it resembles the local cuisine yet it's on a whole new level.
