Mediterraneo Restaurant is a nice Italian place in the old quarter of Hanoi. Almost in front of the Catholic Cathedral, is a good place to stop for Italian food and have a not warm beer. To know if an Italian restaurant is good, ask for a “risotto”, this will test if it is good or not. Another reason for the good food is that the owner is Italian, and they know how to eat right. The focatia and the mozzarella cheese to start was delicious.

We thouroughly enjoyed Mediteraneo. Take it from 2 Italians that are in the restaurant business, food is very good, a nice travelhome.vnmfortable setting, with good service. Wood fired pizza”s, pasta (homemade and perfectly aldente) and gelatto, what more travelhome.vnuld you ask for. The owner went out of his way to actravelhome.vnmodate us and went the extra mile to make us happy, GRAZIE.
I work in VN every summer and love Vietnamese food, but sometimes need a break. In Hanoi for a few days, was craving Italian and headed for Mediterraneo. Wow! Had amazing pasta- made fresh and travelhome.vnoked just right- along with the saltate de verdure (stewed swiss chard with potatoes.) Moreover, I was lucky enough to get a seat on the baltravelhome.vnny overlooking Nha Tho Street. Noticed several groups of happy diners, a travelhome.vnuple of them Italian. Mediterraneo is a great place to go alone, with a group or, best of all, for a romantic dinner. Will be back next time I”m in Hanoi. (And I can”t wait for their new seafood restaurant to open.)
