I was asked for an extra $20 dollars because I was checking in with my Vietnamese partner/fiance of several years. So immediately cancelled my booking. I booked online with AGODA. Agoda DID NOT inform me of this surcharge. I was disgusted at the excuse I received when I phoned the hotel.. They said it was standard hotel practice. I asked the receptionist/telephonist if this rule applied to vietnamese men with vietnamese wives. She would not answer, just repeated that it was standard hotel practise. I told her I was going to contact AGODA. I have contacted Agoda, but to date have had no reply. I will go to the Liberty Hotel with My partner and ask them why they have this surcharge.
Room Tip: make sure you dont get charged extra for your Vietnamese partner/wife/girl friend/fiance. ask…
Located at district 1, this hotel is located at the prime area of HCM. Walking distance from the pub street, it might get a bit rowdy at night. Room – Just really normal, nothing to brag about… Bed was relatively comfy, the common areas along the corridor are dark.. and they still use normal keys for your rooms so I don't really feel very secure. Service – Staff are REALLY friendly, they are probably the best for the hotel and there is really nothing to brag about. Nearby to restaurants, 24hr convenient stores, and the hotel staff can help u call for a grab ride. No breakfast included. No fancy amenities for this hotel.. Visited this hotel Jan 2019

This is an older hotel which means bigger rooms that the more modern, compact designs. Great spot to walk to the entertainment precinct one block away. The park opposite is a nice place to relax, too, with lots of locals playing sport.

Out travel group booked this hotel. Rooms are mostly clean but have seen better days. When we arrived, needed to go back to the lobby to ask them to turn on the AC. A couple traveling with us needed to change rooms as theirs didn't' work. Thus, check when you enter the room. Rooms on the main street will be noisy at night. We were toward the back on the alley to the left. MUCH quieter at night until someone started playing loud music starting at 5:30-6:00 am EVERY morning. Staff was friendly, the location good and breakfast good but I would not stay here again.

I book this hotel for my business trip. Unfortunately, there was a wrong date. I call my agent to help me change my trip date to one day after. The hotel inform my room was fully book and they will change a different room for me with the extra fee. It would be not the matter if i didn't know they still have the same room type of my booking when i check on my online agent and another one. I feel so disaponted. I canceled this booking a will never stay there.

This is not the type of review that we like to see. As your reservation is non-refund booking which means this booking can not be refund or amend. However, we already flexible to your case by agreeing changing the check in date with an additional fee to upgrade to a higher category room but you are not agree with our solution. As a result, we have to full charge your booking. Last but not least, we was disappointed to learn of the shortcomings you experienced and we look forward to another chance to serve you.
