Walked past a few times and decided to visit on our last night. Got a seat at the sushi bar. Great trendy, very noisy restaurant. Loved the menu. We had 3 starters to share, Edamame beans, a delicious cucumber and sesame seed salad and crisp…rice with salmon. A chose a vegetable 8 piece sushi. Had a green matcha tea , daughter had wine. Great meal. Highly recommendMore
It was a second time I ate at this restaurant but the first for dinner. It was a very pleasant experience! Everything you expect from a nice restaurant in Manhattan – from service to food.

Used to be one of my favourites but something has slightly changed and not quite what it was. The crispy rice, rock shrimp tempura, the yellowtail jalapeño and black cod all taste good but not at the level considering the price. Enjoyed this very energetic, upscale Asian restaurant in the Bryant Park Hotel. Restaurant was extremely busy but the service didn't skip a beat. Waiter was very attentive and cared that we had a great time. Very seafood heavy menu, but there are a few non…fish/seafood choices. We enjoyed the calamari salad, the black cod, the chicken breast and the skirt steak, all really delicious. It was my birthday a few days earlier and my friends ordered me a delicious dessert that topped off the night. Thanks for a nice time out!More
This place has good sushi for it’s price range. The decor is nice. but there comes a point where it becomes excessively loud, not the best ambiance for a man on the older side!Must try all the sushi, the tempuras are great! especially the…prawns!Staff is very amicable and never fail to be attentive. If the restaurant was not as noisy I would give. five stars.More
It's good. The food is good, the service is good, the price is reasonable. It gets mobbed and is VERY loud! Tables are crammed in. However, if you are in the area and looking for sushi? We went to Koi while visiting the Christmas markets in NYC. We did not have a reservation; however, we were seated without a problem. The ambience is comfortable and casually elegant. The prices are a bit on the high end; yet, typical of NYC, especially…the section of the city we were dining. The sushi was fresh, and the drinks were good. Despite the hostess telling us we had 10 minutes to order (the restaurant closes between lunch and dinner), we did not feel rushed by our waiter, nor did we feel rushed to finish and leave.More

Koi is a very exceptional restaurant. It is not a pure Japanese but rather Japanese fusion in terms of its creativity. Excellent food, service, location. You can find non-raw fish food selections if that is your wish, but the sushi/sashimi is really stunning. Highly recommend…reservations due to smaller size of Koi and the demand. Dinner opens at 5:30 PM to late; access is into the entrance off of 40th street, south side, between 5th and 6th avenue and the restaurant shares a common entrance and lobby with the Bryant Park Hotel. Koi is across the street from Bryant Park and over the Thanksgiving extended Weekend, the Bryant Park Christmas Bazaar is running and is always a great way to pick up unique presents and gifts.For a unique starter, suggest you try the lobster tacos and the Kobe style potstickers (both are shared plates)…..special and great way to start your dinner. Please give this place a try; you will not regret it!More
