If you are a first time driver, please let someone drive first. They were fixing one part of the road. People are asking for coins once you get to them by car. You just open your window and give the coins. It does not matter if it falls on the ground because they will pick it up later once there”s no cars passing anymore. We were just giving coins to the people in uniform and to the senior citizens who”s helping out. Anyway, it”s a long way up to the park. People at the park are nice. There are a lot of people here when we were here. I enjoyed the road.

The twist and turns of Quezon Zigzag road now known as EME Road as you climb up maybe a bit nerve racking for first time travelers of this road. Once you hit the Buenavista spot, you can see the winding road going down. But the best part of it all is its amidst the thick foilage of Quezon Protected Landscapes. Try to roll down your car windows and notice how the air shifts from warm to cool breeze as you wind up the road.
If you like a fun, exciting and breathtaking view you must try the Atimonan Zigzag Park route if you”re going to Gumaca Quezon and Bicol. As you enter the enchanting rainforest you”ll feel the cool and breezy air.you must also try food stalls and pasalubong at the park entrance and to keep you safe in every curve of the ZigZag you will encounter a road guide, you can give/throw them a dime for their assistance
Every other time we ride to/from bicol via motor, we stop here to rest, a good bulalo for lunch, or a hot cup of coffee with pandesal for snacks. Make sure your brakes and horns are in good condition as road is very steep and drive cautiously.

we passed by the Quezon”s ZigZag Road AKA Bitukang Manok from Manila going to Tagkawayan. The park is situated after the core part of the “bituka”(intestine)-like road.If you really have a lot of time, you”re not in a hurry and the sun is still out, you might want to stop by and stay for 5-10 minutes to relax and be one with nature. But the place isnt advisable to visit when darkness falls
