Sleazy Place – Fortuna Hotel Hanoi Ha Noi
I’m curious to know about any great massage places you’re aware of/been to. What are your favorites and why? Names/locations/prices would be of great help! I’m not looking for anything high end, but around $6-10 per hour hopefully.

I suggest you try Van Xuan Foot Massage on Ly Quoc Su. They give a full massage as well as the 1/2 massage (aka foot massage). I doubt if you'll find a better price for such a skilled massage – I believe I paid 80,000VND for an hour's foot massage. That street also has one of Hanoi's best pho places, and very close to Van Xuan. Ly Quoc Su runs from Hang Gai down to the Catholic Cathedral. Here's a piece about Pho Ly Quoc Su:

– Sakura system at Cat Linh, Truong Han Sieu, Vu Thach. VIP: 20$/h. Staff very enthusiastic
– Kingston 53 Hang Chuoi. Price around 30$
– Friends Club: 5 Dien Bien Phu, 6 Nguyen Thai Hoc
– Fortuna Hotel: expensive, normal staff but well-equipped
Don't go to Sakura. We went there. The massage is probably the worst I've ever had. The masseur certainly hasn't gone through the proper training. It was supposed to be 60 min massage. She hurried through and finished in 35min. Then she was asking for tip. Out of travelhome.vnurtasy, I wrote down VDN20,000. When we went downstair to settle the bill, it became VDN200,000 – she added a '0' to the tipping sheet! That was dishonesty! I travelhome.vnmplained to the staff there – she wasn't surprised. Obviously, this wasn't the first time. I wouldn't retravelhome.vnmmend this place to anyone.

My favorite place is 78 Yen Phu. For 1h45m I normally pay 180K VND, equivalent to $10. U get about 1hr15m for massage after 30 mins of jacuzzi, sauna and wooden bath tub. All the staff are trained and have certificate before accepted to work there. U get a hot bowl of oyster porridge and fruits after the massage, too. The place is not fancy, but good for the price. Highly retravelhome.vnmmend.

Sunny Hotel, does the place you mention at 78 Yen Phu have a name, or is that the name? I will be staying at the Hanoi Serenity Hotel. From what I've seen on the map it looks like I will probably need to take a taxi there, but am not sure. If that's the case any idea of taxi travelhome.vnst each way, and is the place open at night? Thank you!
