Đang xem: Factory outlet ho chi minh

Unlike the open air Ben Thanh Market, Saigon Center is an airconditioned mall filled with factory rejects from popular international brands such as The North Face, Kipling, Nike, Forever 21, Mango, Zara, XOXO, and many more.

The reason why factory reject stores are located all over HCMC is that the actual sweat shops factories for these products are in Vietnam. Just be extra careful in making sure that you’re buying original items and not knock-offs! The vendors don’t mind if you ask them whether the goods they’re selling are original or fake and, more often than not, they will be honest with you. It can’t hurt to be careful though so make sure you research on how to spot fake products.

If Ben Tanh market is too hot and stuffy for your liking and bargaining is not really your thing, I highly recommend coming here. Mostly clothing items, blouses, tshirts, accessories and loads of branded stuff which really do look like the real thing. Got my dad a couple of good quality polo shirts from here at about 120k each, which is less than 5usd. an awesome find. sellers here are not as aggressive as the ones in Ben tanh market.

Visited both Saigon Square 1 (near Ben Thanh) and Saigon Square 2. Liked 1 better – wider selections and more buzz all around. Amazing deals on backpacks, clothes and accessories. Very hot inside SS1 but SS2 despite being newer, hot less buzz and crowds.

First off, it”s air conditioned.

Shop owners speak decent English.

There is an exchange booth for currency at the front that gives great rates, far better than hotels and even some banks.

We bought many clothes at great prices. True religion jeans to North Face Jackets. For about 500-700 VND or 23-28 bucks.

The shops have different starting prices so buyer beware. Also quality is different. Check over what one buys.

Overall, this is our favourite place to shop. Way better than the back packers district or Ben Thanh Market. Those places tend to charge more for their brand names.

Generally less crowded and better quality clothing than at Ben than market. Sellers just let you browse and do not generally harass you. Prices are not as negotiable as Ben than but they start at a more realistic price so much easier shopping. Air conditioned, which is a plus. Good supermarket next door.

If you travel to Vietnam, you have to visit Saigon Square. It is an indoor, air conditioned shopping area with lots of different vendors selling a little of everything…but mostly clothes/accessories, shoes, movies and different electronic accessories.

TIP: This is actually Saigon Square 2. Its older, bigger brother (called Saigon Square) is located nearer the heart of the city so be sure to tell the taxi driver which Saigon Square you want to go to.

Anywho, the shopping center has two floors with an escalator providing access. It is not too overwhelming as you walk in as there is a small entry way to buffer you from the masses.

Speaking of the masses, there are multiple independent vendors selling stuff. You can walk into thier "store" (~12 Cubic Meters/40 cubic ft of space) touch, hold and even try on anything you want. They do have "dressing rooms" (curtains in the back of the stores) to allow you to see if the stuff fits.

Lots of name brands to choose from and lots of variety of gear (sports attire, dresses, kids clothes, etc) but be careful some may be knock off”s or defects. Look at your stuff carefully. You do have the chance to get some really great deals on some decent quality stuff, but the old adadge "you get what you pay for" can hold VERY true in Saigon Square and Vietnam in general.

Speaking of price, be prepared to negotiate. The sellers will quote you a price. Consider that the "anchor point” for those negotiating enthusiasts. They expect that you will give a counter offer. If you enjoy this sort of thing, the whole experience can be a lot of fun. If you really just want to buy that shirt or dress for 300,000 VND, just drop the $15 USD and enjoy your stuff. You”ll find yourself haggling over dollars so be sure not to waste your time on something you want.

For me, the one thing that keeps Saigon Square from being a 5 is that I cant really buy clothes there. If you are a big guy … not fat, but just bigger, you will get the common phrase "No Big Size" early and often. I am 5″11", 215lbg, 46" Chest, 36" waste, athletic build. If you”re bigger than me…forget about shopping for clothes here or almost any standard place in Vietnam.

I won”t however, let my size taint people”s view on the experience. Overall Saigon Square 2 or Saigon Square is a great central place to get some good shopping done. Vendors are friendly and you can shop while getting out of the heat. Definitly worth a stopping by.

Good luck!
