“Family owned Chicago area restaurant donates thousands of meals to Veterans amid coronavirus pandemic.” Fox News Chicago correspondent Matt Finn reports.
Starting on day one of restaurant closures in Illinois, we dedicated our efforts primarily towards serving/delivering donated meals to as many local Veterans, Seniors, and any other community members in need.
To this point we are incredibly proud to have served more than 100,000 complimentary meals! We expect meals to increase to each week as we add more “bulk meal deliveries” to Senior homes, Veteran communities, and first responders.
Please check out more info below, along with links to the media coverage our initiative has attracted and a link to our GoFund Me page. Our initial plan was to entirely self fund this project, but with the increased attention came the need to serve tens of thousands more than anticipated.
Being able to extend our reach is a blessing, but of course comes with the call for additional funds. The community stepped up and answered the call! Because of this, we have been able to keep the initiative going even as the “shelter in place” order has been extended. While Country House and its management continue to absorb most of the associated costs, all help is meaningful and has an impact: Whether it’s through volunteering, sponsoring a specific organization to support/feed, a monetary donation, or via kind thoughts and prayers!!!

We are raising money to continue to serve our community at the highest level! In our first day we are proud to say that we sent over 200 meals to the seniors, families and kids needing a hot meal. We want to keep our employees active, and help them feed their families.

Residents in south suburban Chicago Heights are teaming up with a local restaurant to make sure kids receive meals during this time of need. NBC 5’s Leeann Trotter reports.
NOVEMBER 2020The Country House Restaurant is launching a new effort to help struggling seniors and families over the holidays and they need your help. “$15 will cover a full meal delivered, microwavable and ready to re-heat to somebody’s door.” – Paul Boundas.

We found that by using fresh ingredients and little or no foods that are processed or pre-packaged, we are able to control our costs and offer these higher quality foods at lower prices.
