Located in the center of District1, Ho Chi Minh City, a 4-minute walk from Mariamman Hindu Temple, City Backpackers Hostel provides private rooms and dorm rooms with air conditioning and free WiFi. Tidy and footwear cannot be taken to the rooms. Very friendly staff who speak good English and guide you with a city map. The cook even packed breakfast for me since I had to leave for the airport at 7 am. The rooms are spacious and tidy. And there are lot of options to eat like KFC, Starbucks, circle k incase you want to have non Vietnamese food.
If you are looking for the hostel atmosphere this is not the place. It is more an airport hotel. For the rest it is clean, big rooms and breakfast is good.Good location just a little noisy. For one night it was fine.

I was there with a few friends for a few days and had an amazing experience there. The woman that runs this hostel is honestly amazing. She went above and beyond for me and my friends. She even drove to the bus stop and dropped off my friends slides after someone mistakenly took them. She gave us amazing advice on how to get around the city and even helped me with a personal emergency. It’s right in the heart of the city so it’s in walking distance of pretty much everything. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone any day.
Amazing location, incredible staff…. Tiny cramped rooms with little locker space compared to other hostels. Couldn’t recommend the staff more, so helpful with regards to your whole route. Good tours on offer but good price.
I love this hotel and the location. The staffs are very friendly and help me a lot. I'd definitely stay here if I ever come to HCM city again. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone to stay here. Great experience!
