L'Usine: Café, Shop And Cafe All In One, L'Usine Boutique & Cafe
L”Usine has had a big impact on the Saigon boutique and cafe scene since opening in 2010. So big that there are now 3 outlets spread across District 1. They”re design-focused heritage spaces that combine dining with cool retail.

Review
Part cafe, part boutique, part gallery, L’Usine is a great spot for a coffee, breakfast, lunch or a casual dinner – and a chance to mix it with Saigon’s young creative set.
The original L”Usine is right in the heart of the city nearby the Caravelle and Continental hotels in a huge French era, warehouse-style space with high ceilings and polished concrete floors. It”s the nicest of the three outlets. This is where Saigon”s love of hidden vintage cafes began.

The other two L”Usine outlets are also centrally located.
The second is at 70B Le Loi St, District 1, HCMC on the strip between the Rex Hotel and Ben Thanh Market. It feels slightly smaller than the original but the concept and vintage feel are unchanged. There”s a downstairs store selling a selection of fashion items. The cafe”s upstairs.

The menus are similar across the three outlets with paninis, sandwiches, cupcakes, pasta, juices and coffee. L”Usine Dong Khoi has expanded its kitchen and has a more extensive menu including some tasty dinner options.
The newest L”Usine opened in 2017 and is located at 19 Le Thanh Ton St, also downtown. It”s considered the new “flagship” location. Unlike its heritage predecessors, L”Usine Le Thanh Ton was built from scratch in deco style.
If you only have time for one, check out the original hidden away off Dong Khoi St – it”s still our favourite. And if you have time, take a tour of all three.BriefNo smoking indoors. Free wifi.
