For our last day in Saigon and with a hot day ahead we decided that visiting a shopping mall would not have been a bad idea.We choose to go to the Aeon Binh Tan mall as it seamed to have interesting shops.It is about 45 min by taxi from the centre of Saigon (Dong Khoi).A japanese do it yourself shop, a japanese supermarket, plenty of international brands and a huge selection of restaurants.The aircon is pleasant (not too cold) .There is a taxi stand at the entrance near the Aeon Supermarket.

A large supermarket, a lot of choice in the food court, a great cinema, and reasonable prices compared to city centre
A mega shopping mall with spacious parking lots. There is an upscale community nearby. The mall is also a new landmark to the district. The area is a strip for restaurants and entertainment. The mall has hosted most good shops in Vietnam. Due to newer design, there are multiple entry and exits at customers” convenience.

This is advertised as a Japanese shopping mall. New Mall near the Mien Tay (Mekong Delta) Bus Station has the first “hardware store” I”ve seen in the city. It isn”t abundant in its offerings but probably adequate. There are many chain shops represented and some from Japan. Restaurants abound.I recommend the prepared food gallery of the Aeon Grocery Store. Roast duck and sushi and bakery are my favorites, with cheap prices and seating. There are places around the mall, where there is free wifi, to sit and eat and watch the throngs.The mall management actively changes corridor displays and events and specials. There is lots of loud music and loud conversation everywhere except in the clean and bountiful bathrooms. (The music is softer.)Intercom announcements are usually made in Vietnamese and English, like, “It has begun to rain outside. Please be careful.” Or “The free bus (to and) from Ben Thanh Market is loading now.” There are lots of children”s activities, a multiplex cinema with stadium seating, coffee shops, and a Fahasa Books. It is practically a destination place.
