Stayed for a night in this hotel. The staff are very friendly and the rooms are well kept. The breakfast is decent as well and if there's any downside, the swimming pool is more like a mini jacuzzi so it's probably worth not going to swim there at all.
Good location. Clean. Comfortable. But most rooms have No windows! Staff friendly. Housemaid had not replenished toiletries… they were half used. Room had not been checked… found someone else’s glasses in the safe!
We checked in early in the morning after getting off a 12 hour sleeper bus, and felt extremely unwelcome. The woman who served us was very dismissive and unhelpful, and although it was early (so sometimes understandable that they aren't as bubble and warm) she was totally unhelpful and rude. Our room wasn't terrible, small in size but not a real issue. However, the bed felt as if we were sleeping on a table. We ended up checking out later that day, as we realized how far from the old quarter it was and we decided we would rather spend our time somewhere we felt welcomed and supported by the staff.
My wife and I recently status her for 4 nights. Pros – Spotlessly clean, great staff, great buffet breakfast, decent location, really comfortable bed and pillows. The room had Netflix which was good when it was hot outside. Cons- Or room and bathroom were very small with only one small window in the corner hidden by the cupboard. The pool is very small and we couldn't really use it as it was always full of kids, which doesn't take much considering it's size. The reason we actually booked this exact hotel was for the pool, so we were pretty disappointed that we couldn't use it.

The Light Hotel is located on a busy street in bustling Hanoi, convenient for sightseeing. Breakfast was simple and tasty. Staff friendly and helpful. There is a lovely little swimming pool on the roof. Rooms are small but clean and well appointed.
