Situated in the slightly outskirt of Hanoi, it is a quiet place for relaxation. surrounded by greenery like any typical resort. Price is quite reasonable. rooms were spacious. wish that the ambience could have been better.

If looking for a budget hotel then this is it. Lovely staff with very little English. This was our final stop after 16 -19 days travelling Vietnam and must say even though upgraded by our amazing agent was our least favorite( sorry to those family who have stayed before). Location good once you work out where you are, close to the beachfront ( always a bonus). Breakfast Very limited after having buffets throughout our travels. A degree would be useful when trying to work out the shower (it may be different in a normal room). Overall one has to remember their surroundings and Vung Tau is a beautiful part of the world. Would we stay here again? A question for another trip.
I remember the most is limited & cold breakfast even they said they are 4-star. Room were okay, big and pretty comfortable but bad view and quite old (my room is big corner room). Receptionists are not friendly. Decoration is not very nice for a resort.
Sông Hồng Resort is a good hotel with natural scence. They got full of services with medium price. However, they need improve the service and train staffs more professional. You could visit the centre is not far from hotel, about 3 km. Vinh Yen is the old hometown, about more 100 yrs and is a so so peaceful place to walk and enjoy here.
The Song Hong Resort is approx. an hour plus from the city center of Hanoi, Vietnam. We though a short getaway would be fun on a weekday. The car ride was great with not much of a traffic as we set out early in the morning. The area of Vinh Phuc where the resort is situated is surrounded by quite a number of automotive factories. Don't expect malls or beaches or any shopping to be done. It's a small province, slightly laid back from Hanoi. The resort is quite big and has a view of a lake. The view is quite nice but not spectacular. The arrival to the resort was beautiful with a tunnel filled with long weeping willows plants greeting you as you pass them in your car. The nightmare begins when you are at the lobby. Dark, old and one feels you are back in the 70s. The reception lady was rude and does not speak English. It was eerie as there wasn't anyone besides us and the two staff. Our rooms was OK but the aircon wasn't working well. Switch the ceiling fan on and a 'ton' of dust and cobwebs came floating down onto our bed. TV channel was static and we could not get a right image. The bathroom was horrendous. Unexplainable. Dark, old and the walls of the shower room was stained. Yucks! Hot water wasn't constant. The mattress on the bed was terrible. We woke up with back aches. Only good thing was the view of the lake we had. As our room had a balcony with a low wall dividing the other room, we were shocked on our return after breakfast to see the next door room kids on our balcony!!! We made our feedback to the Front Desk and they say someone will call us. One night and a day passed no one called us. Breakfast was terrible. Better off eating out on the streets. The pool had algae and fungus growing!!!! We cut short our stay and told ourselves never to return.…
