The ambiance jumps out at you. It is totally Korean pop culture, nothing traditional as other Korean restaurants that I know of here in Manila. The ushers waiting at the entrance are in Korean theme get up which matches up to the hair. TV screens everywhere; made me wish an NBA game is on but the restaurant stuck to the theme all throughout as only Korean pop songs were shown including Gangnam Style. The volume and the quality of the audio is actually just right. You see I am not a fan of loud music in restaurants including bands as it gets in the way of socialization. Furthermore I had throat issues the day I ate at K-Pub and I managed to converse with my friends without so much of a strain. Don’t remember shouting or asking my friends to shout in order for them to be heard. We took the meal that unlimited time.

That’s how they price their meals; the one without the time limit by the looks of it has the most number of choices, while the others with time limit has smaller menu. At first it seemed the right decision going unlimited time considering how long does it takes to grill. Now looking back and after reading fellow commenters of this restaurant I would have to agree 1 hour may be enough. The waiters did say we could stay long enough for the band but we declined as we were already full. As such I have no data on their drinks and “pulutan” if you would want to go there for the music and not for dinner.As far as services go, the waiters are very helpful. My group for one could not figure out the timing for the buttered shrimp as it was placed inside a tin foil packet and the waiter accommodated turning or opening when it was cooked. They would do so every so often for other meals we were grilling especially if we had plates of raw meat still in the waiting.Then again they could probably be doing this with the restaurant maybe two-thirds full but again looking at it another way would other restaurants with idle waiters be as attentive.Lastly the food; that you have to find out for yourself. I am not a fan of Korean food you see but to be clear I did not hate my experience. I will as always visit Korean style restaurants sparingly, most likely at the behest of good friends.Ushers are armed with menus; scan if the selection is ok for you and make your decision. K-Pub is located at the Mindanao corner of trinoma, if the menu does not meet your liking you can easily move on.
